Callian
This is a close-up of the village I am from and was raised in for a good part of my childhood.
Set on a hill in southern Provence, and built around the 1200s, Callian is one of the oldest villages of the department.

More than meets the eye
The world is a complex place composed of so many beautiful landscapes, fascinating mysteries, and revolting injustices, that one will hardly get a feel for its grandeur by resorting to sight solely.
Photography, though, is a powerful way to depict the complexities of our delicate world - A photograph, is not just a photograph, but a media through which one chooses to recount a story, express a feeling, translate a message or engage a community, with passion, delight, anger or perhaps even indignation.
Through this blog I am not veritably trying to achieve any one of these goals in particular. I do photography simply because I am both fascinated with the world, and am a fervent defender of the nature and culture it embraces - though I must admit I will have secretly won if I convinced you it is a place worth fighting for.
So really, please, take it what you wish – whether it be a story, a journey to a far away place, a source of delight or indignation or a mere short break from your day.
