For some reason, the most tumultuous landscapes often appear to me as deeply
serene and peaceful. This is exactly how I felt walking along Cape Cod beaches,
Massachusetts, surrounded by mad waves, and yet invaded with a feeling of utter relaxation.

Bonifacio is a beautiful Corsican village which stands on calcareous cliffs
above the mediterranean sea. Walking along those cliffs at sunset offers a
phenomenal view as the sun slowly comes to hide behind Bonifaccio creating a
mysterious silhouette which I was lucky enough to capture on film.

This picture was taken from the top of Mount Marcy, Adirondacks, NY, the second
highest peak
in the Eastern USA. It is a long but beautiful hike in the woods, until
the summit
which is bare from vegetation and offers an incredible view on the
surrounding
mountains.
The hike was 9 hours long, so make sure to plan enough
time if you are interested.

Highly recommended for mountain hikes lovers!

After hiking 5 hours to the top of Mt. Marcy, the view you get once you
arrive is a veritable reward. Surrounded by green mountains and valleys
until infinite goes, you are on top, and yet so small to the rest of the world.

Beaches on the eastern coast of Canada, here in Nova Scotia, are nothing
like the luxurious white-sand beaches of Florida. Rather, their charm derives
from their somber colors, and the mysterious atmosphere which dominates over a
landscape devoid of any human presence. A veritable paradise for photographers!

Despite this “seemingly” all-natural landscape, taking this shot of Miami beach was a veritable challenge due to the high number of people running on beach, tanning on the sand or jumping in the water. But the result was not too disappointing!

For some reason, this picture always reminds me of the following quote
from Tennessee Williams in A Streetcar Named Desire, when Blanche says
"Don't you just love those long rainy afternoons in New Orleans when an hour isn't just an hour -
but a little piece of eternity dropped into your hands - and who knows what to do with it?"
